She was born on July 17, 1920 to Madison and Andrea Fletcher in Puerto Rico. She attended St. Catherine’s Hospital School of Nursing in New York and graduated a registered nurse. Anne was united in marriage on August 22, 1944 to John P. Steele, the son of Clyde and Alice Duke, formerly of Valley, Wisconsin. They lived in Venezuela, South America for many years, while he was employed by Shell Oil. Following retirement they lived in Hillsboro, Wisconsin and Winter Park, Florida. He preceded her in death on August 26, 1990. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Father Joseph Nakwah officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro. Friends may call at the Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. The Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements. |
