Betty J. Munson, age 79 years, of Mauston, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at her residence at the Cottage Care Center in Mauston, Wisconsin.

She was born on March 26, 1932 to Fred and Mabel (Johnson) Duell in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.  Betty worked on the farm near Elroy and then moved to Madison where she worked in a factory.  In Madison, she met Raymond Munson and they were united in marriage on January 9, 1971. 

Betty was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary, she also enjoyed bingo and going to the casino.  She later moved back to the Elroy and Mauston area.

Survivors include her brother-in-law, Vernon Seager of Elroy; nephews, Dennis Malone of Mauston, Alan Malone of Elroy, and Randy (Christine) Malone of Pewaukee; niece, Barbara (Dennis) Prodhomme of Milwaukee; a great niece, Kelly (David) Pfeffer of Burlington; great nephews, Christopher (Kaycee) Malone of Kalispell, Montana and Joseph Seager of Racine; and great great nieces, Aimee and Milynn Pfeffer of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond on March 13, 1989; brothers, John and Harold Duell; sisters, Irene Malone, Bethel Seager, Dorothy Stadler, and Mildred Duell and a nephew, Russell Malone.
