Edward Birdd

Edward J. Birdd, age 79 years, of LaFarge, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his residence, following a battle with Leukemia. He was born on September 28, 1930 to Charles and Stella (Rynes) Birdd in the Town of Henrietta, Richland County, Wisconsin. He grew to adulthood in the Town of Union, Vernon County and attended the Morning Star School. Edward entered the U.S. Army in 1951 and served in the Korean War until 1953, he was awarded the Purple Heart. Edward lived in Janesville and worked at General Motors for 29 years. Following retirement in 1979, he moved back to the family farm in the Town of Union with his brother, Charles. Later he moved to his home in LaFarge in 1995, where he has since resided. He was preceded in death by his Parents and brother, Charles Birdd. There will be no funeral services at this time, his wishes were to be cremated and interred at the Wopat Cemetery, rural Hillsboro at a later date. The Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro assisted with arrangements. |
