Geneva
H. Lovelace, age 94 years, of Wonewoc, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009
at Heritage Manor in Elroy, Wisconsin.
She was born on November 30, 1914 in Camp
Douglas to Edgar and Anna (Jensen) Moore. She grew to adulthood in Juneau
County and graduated from the New Lisbon High School. Geneva was united in
marriage to Jess W. Lovelace on July 2, 1934 in Necedah. They celebrated 59
years of marriage with an anniversary party on July 2, 1993 with family and
music friends. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1993.
They lived for many years near Union Center,
where she was active raising three sons and also later worked at Badger
Ordinance at Baraboo. Geneva was a very active member of the Grace Lutheran
Church in Elroy and the Senior Meals Program at the Church. She also loved
traveling, cooking and entertaining family and friends.
Survivors include her three sons, Ronald
(Patsy) Lovelace of Milton, Chuck Lovelace of Wonewoc, and Doug (Janet) Lovelace
of Wonewoc; eleven Grandchildren; thirty-four Great Grandchildren; thirteen
Great-Great Grandchildren; and a brother, Archie (Elaine) St. Clair of Kendall.
In addition to her husband, Jess, she was preceded in death by her Parents, a
step-father, William St. Clair; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Lovelace; two
sisters, Valda Lattimer and Rachel Schuren; and two brothers, Edgar Moore and
Clifford St. Clair.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at
11:00 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Elroy, with Rev. Wesley Dunbar
officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Elroy.
Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
and at the Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
