Jesse James Clendenin, age 83 years, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 at the University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

He was born on April 4, 1928 to Charles and Laura (Davis) Clendenin in Marion, Illinois.

Jesse worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co., for 32 years, retiring in 1982.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman that will be missed by all family and friends.

Surviving is his faithful companion, Harriet Fortun of Hillsboro, with whom he made his home; three sons, Michael (Kay) of Kankakee, Illinois, Curtis (Feyza) of North Pekin, Illinois and Walter (Tina) of Washington, Illinois; one daughter, Debra Scott (Rick) of Mapleton, Illinois; ten Grandchildren; seven Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Mowery and Bess Solchenberger, both of Wonewoc, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; one Great Granddaughter; a Son-in-law; and two Sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev. Donald Ehler officiating.  Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.  Interment will be at a later date in the Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, Illinois.
