Kim
I. Miller, age 49 years, of rural Elroy, passed away on Monday, December 22,
2008 at Heritage Manor in Elroy, Wisconsin.
She was born on March 21, 1959 to Edward and
Eileen (DeWitt) Miller in Hillsboro. Kim grew to adulthood on the family farm
near Elroy; she attended school in Elroy, and several years of schooling in
Norwalk and New Lisbon. Kim was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church
in Elroy, she was a messenger and with her passion for the telephone, she called
with meeting reminders for the Church and also enjoyed contacting shut-ins. She
has a host of friends and her love for people continued with sending greeting
cards for various occasions. Kim also collected cancelled stamps for a mission
of the Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Services program and was a member of
the Millards Prairie Homemakers. She also spent several years working through a
Juneau County transition program which gave her various jobs and tasks,
including work at a thrift store, house cleaning, and at Culvers Restaurant
among other things.
Survivors include her parents, Edward and
Eileen Miller of Elroy; a brother, Kevin (Mary) Miller of Elroy; a sister,
Lynette (David) Livingston of Sparta; and nephews and a niece, Andrew, Alan,
Brian, and Madeline Miller and Michael, Matthew, and Marcus Livingston. She was
preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael and grandparents, George and
Selma Miller and Carrol and Walda DeWitt.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at
2:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Wesley Dunbar officiating.
Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy on Saturday, December 27th
from 2 to 6 p.m. and at the Church on Sunday starting at 1:00 p.m. Interment
will take place at a later date in the Millards Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the Grace Lutheran Church.
