Pauline M. Fuchs, age 84 years, of rural Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her home.
She was born on January 3, 1934 to John and Mary (Skala) Hotek at Hillsboro and she graduated from the Hillsboro High School. Pauline was united in marriage to James A. Fuchs on September 23, 1953 in Hillsboro. They farmed together for many years in the Town of Greenwood. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1992.
In addition to her work on the farm, Pauline also worked in bookkeeping at County Market. She was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was very well known for her quilt making. Pauline enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, was a Green Bay Packers fan and an election worker in the Town of Greenwood.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane (Jim) Kocyan of Elroy; son, James J. (Danielle) Fuchs of Hillsboro and grandchildren, Supriya, Nathan, Nicklaus, and Leia. In addition to her husband, James; she was preceded in death by her Parents; sisters, Theresa Ja Doul and Dorothy Retzlaff and brothers, Paul Hotek and Cyril Hotek.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Father Don Bauer officiating. Burial will be in the Czech’s National Cemetery at Yuba. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
