Lyle
E. Briskey, age 83 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2010
at the Vernon Manor in Viroqua, Wisconsin.
He was born on May 31, 1926 to
Joseph and Cora (Nofsinger) Briskey at Hillsboro, where he grew to adulthood
graduated from the Hillsboro High School. Lyle was united in marriage to Grace
E. Corn on June 4, 1949. They owned and operated a farm in the Town of
Hillsboro and later moved into Hillsboro in 1971. After leaving the farm he
also was active in construction work. She preceded him in death on October 28,
2000.
Survivors include a son, John
(Rose) Briskey of Hillsboro; a daughter, Barbara Hoeft of Cashton; Grandchildren
and Great Grandchildren; a brother, Leo (Phyllis) Briskey of Janesville; and a
brother-in-law, Harry Baller of Hillsboro. In addition to his wife, Grace; he
was preceded in death by his Parents, a son, Nicholas; two brothers, Edward and
Ernest Briskey; and a sister, Frances Baller.
Funeral Services will be held on
Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro,
with Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery
in Hillsboro. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00
a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
