Pamela (Avery) Thompson, age 64 of Janesville, WI, was reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, Richard D. Thompson on Friday, December 2, 2011.

Pam was born December 14, 1946, the daughter of Frank and Maxine (Wolfgram) Avery of Mauston, WI. She graduated from Mauston High School in 1965, and went on to Stout State University in Menomonie, WI to study Home Economics.  She was a skilled seamstress, quilter, cook/baker, organist, fisherman and truck driver.

She cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and their children; she especially loved teaching them to sew and many referred to her as "Pepsi Grandma." Pam loved this time of year, she especially loved to bake cinnamon rolls, make krumake's, and decorate Christmas cookies with her sons and all their friends. She had a special twinkle in her eye and a charming wit that will never be forgotten as well as her ability to always see the silver lining.

Pam is survived by her sons, Rick Thompson, Beloit, WI, Terry (Tiffany) Thompson, Reedsburg, WI, and Troy (Christine Fronk) Thompson, Edgerton, WI; Grandchildren, Vanessa, Eric, Jessica, Ashley, and Ty Thompson; Sisters, Jo Ann (Steve) Tremain, Waunakee, WI, and Mischa (Avery) Miller, Elroy, WI; Brother, Craig (Ruth) Avery, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Pam's beloved cat, Dunkin who stayed by her side to the very end.

Pam was preceded in death by her husband Richard Dwane Thompson, her father and mother, and her sister, Kathleen (Cas) Oelrich.

Visitation will be held 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at East Lemonweir Lutheran Church, rural Elroy, WI. The funeral will immediately follow at 1:00 pm., with Rev. Wendy Ruetten officiating.  The Picha Funeral Home in Elroy assisted the family with arrangements.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Beloit Regional Hospice Care & the wonderful team of nurses; Jill, Stephanie & Annie, also her Personal Care team, Nancy & Cindy as well as Nancy the Chaplin.
