Patricia M. Shear, age 73 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the St. Joseph’ Memorial Hospital in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. She was born on January 5, 1936 to Philip and Arvilla (Fessey) Rogers at Union Center, Wisconsin, where she grew to adulthood and graduated from the Elroy High School. Patricia was united in marriage to Harold Shear on August 20, 1955 in Union Center. Pat worked as the bookkeeper for the Hillsboro School District for 30 years. She was also a member of the St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Harold Shear of Hillsboro; children, Gary (Janice) Shear of Sycamore, IL, Cindy (Duane) Talmage of Menomonie, Jim (Mary Beth) Shear of Wonewoc, Cheryl (Douglas) Schober of Holmen and Marv (Cheryl) Shear of LaCrosse; ten Grandchildren, Nick Shear, Jenna Shear, Ben Talmage, Brad Talmage, Ryan Shear, Garrett Shear, Matt Schober, Nikki Schober, Joel Shear, and Dalton Shear; a sister, Rita (Lester) Woolever of LaValle; and brothers, Jim Rogers of Camp Douglas, Bob (Sheryl) Rogers of Wonewoc, and Dick (Niki) Rogers of Whitefish Bay. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Burial will be in the St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery in Union Center. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the Church on Tuesday starting at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given for the St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital. |
