Ralph
E. Evans, age 76 years, of the Hillsboro area, passed away on Saturday, June 6,
2009 following an accident.
He was born on June 22, 1932 to Grover
Cleveland and Ada Eunice (Tudor) Evans in Clinton County, Indiana. Ralph was
united in marriage to Dorothy Dollar on July 7, 1951. They lived in Indiana for
several years and moved to the Hillsboro area in 1966. He was a lifelong farmer
in Indiana and Wisconsin, with raising various livestock, hogs and dairy
cattle. Ralph also enjoyed his horses and participated with wagon trains. He
also worked at Delco Remy in Anderson, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of
Hillsboro; daughters, Debra (Steve) Goldsmith of Columbia City, Indiana and
Susan (Steve) Skala of Hillsboro; sons, Randy (Diane) Evans of Hillsboro and
Andy Evans of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren, Chris Miller, Pat Miller, Jason
Skala, Justin Skala, Michael Evans, Rudy Evans, Brandon Evans, Cassidy Evans,
and Jimmy Evans; and six great-grandchildren, Cody Miller, Dalton Miller, Alex
Evans, Mickayla Feala, Parker Skala and Hannah Miller. He was preceded in death
by his Parents, a son, Terrance Evans; a brother; and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday,
June 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will
be in the Champion Valley Cemetery near Yuba. Friends may call at the Picha
Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
