Robert Anderson

  Robert E. Anderson, age 72 years, of Elroy, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Serenity House in Tomah, Wisconsin.

He was born on April 7, 1936 to Alden and Mary (Hladky) Anderson in the Town of Orange, Juneau County, Wisconsin.  He graduated from the Elroy High School in 1954.  Robert served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960.  After his military service he worked for the U.S Postal Service in Madison until retiring in 1991 and returning to Elroy.  He was also a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his brother, Edmund Anderson of Elroy and five nieces, Carol Bushman, Susan Anderson, Sandy Anderson, Debbie Hyde, and Lori Davis, all of Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy, with Pastor Russ Trachte officiating.  Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial with military rites will be in the New Lisbon City Cemetery in New Lisbon.
