Monday, November 28, 2011.
He was born on November 17, 1957 to Raymond J. and Mary Jean (Sinkule) Fanta in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. He graduated from the Hillsboro High School in 1975.
Rodney worked at Century Foods in Sparta for several years. He loved his music, playing guitar and writing songs; he also enjoyed traveling, especially the trips to Europe.
Survivors include his daughter, Megan Fanta of Eau Claire and grandson, Noah; mother, Mary Jean Fanta of Hillsboro; life partner, Monica Lunde of LaCrosse; and sisters, Connie (John) Parker of Brandon, South Dakota, Janeen (Ken) Jameson of Mancus, Colorado and Lynette (Joel) Penshorn of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond and brother, Scott Fanta.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Alan Tripp officiating. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
