Ruth E. Cooper, age 79 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the St. Josephs Memorial Hospital in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. She was born on March 28, 1930 to Emerson and Anna (Breidenstein) Budde in Vernon County, Wisconsin. Ruth graduated from the Ontario High School in 1947 and later from the Vernon County Teachers College. In 1971, she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin in LaCrosse. Ruth was united in marriage to Roy F. Cooper in 1975 at the Mount Pisgah Church near Ontario. Following their marriage they lived at Bloom City until 1979 when they moved into Hillsboro. Roy preceded her in death on April 1, 1989. Ruth worked for Wisconsin Dairies and the Warner Creek Cheese Factory, she also worked part time for the City of Hillsboro and was an election worker. Community activities also played a role in her life. She was a member of the Hillsboro Wesleyan Church and played organ, was treasurer for many years and was involved in their quilting program. Ruth was an officer with the Forest-Burr Cemetery for many years and was active in the Hillsboro Senior Citizens. Survivors include two step-daughters, Jill Vestuto of Richland Center and Jane (David) Adams of Blue River; two Grandsons; four Great-grandchildren; one Great-great-grandchild; an aunt, Anna Breidenstein of Ontario and her children, Beauford, Bill, Alton, Bob, Merril, and Lucille Breidenstein and Linda Fiske. In addition to her husband, Roy, she was preceded in death by her Parents and two brothers, Duane and Carl Budde. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Forest-Burr Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. Friends may call at the Church on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of services. The Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family. |
