Thomas R. Ravenscroft, age 48 years, of Westfield, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, Wisconsin.

He was born on February 25, 1963 to Ronald and Elaine (Sebranek) Ravenscroft in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.  He graduated from the Adams Friendship High School in 1981.  Tom worked at Grande Cheese for numerous years as a milk hauler while living in Hillsboro.  He was a charter member of the Hillsboro Lions Club and a member of the Hillsboro Fire Department.  He also worked at Hillsboro Equipment.

Later Tom lived at Grand Marsh and Westfield where he worked for Neenah Springs in Oxford, driving truck and became maintenance supervisor.  Tom loved NASCAR and Jeff Gordon, fan of Wisconsin sports, Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, enjoyed Demo Derbys and was a huge collector of Tonka Toys.

Tom was always there to help anyone who needed help when there was work to be done.  His smile was contagious; his laugh would brighten anyone’s day.

Survivors include his mother, Elaine Ravenscroft of Cottage Grove; brother, Randy (Barb) Ravenscroft of Westfield; sisters, Deb (Tom) Sake of Hillsboro, Sherry Ravenscroft (Sue Fichtel) of Cottage Grove and Theresa Ravenscroft of Cottage Grove; nieces and nephews, to them he was their special “Uncle Tom”, Amanda (Mike), Steve (Nicole), Kelli, Nichole (Doug), Nicole and Christopher; six great nieces, a great nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles, and friends; his special friend, Doloris Reichoff of Westfield and special buddy, Derk Rodger.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ron.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Father Don Bauer officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery at Mount Tabor.  Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
