Verena
M. Pfaff, age 74 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008
at the St. Josephs Memorial Hospital in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.
She was born on July 16, 1934 to George and
Catherine (Zant) Woelfl in Mauston, Wisconsin, where she grew to adulthood and
graduated from the Mauston Madonna High School. Verena was united in marriage
to Glen Pfaff on October 18, 1952 in LaValle, Wisconsin. They lived in the
Township of Summit for many years prior to moving to the Hillsboro area in
1973. Verena worked for Garment Factories in Hillsboro and Ontario and also at
the Hillsboro Bakery. She was a member of the St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church in
Hillsboro.
Survivors include her husband, Glen of
Hillsboro; eight children, Richard Pfaff (Barb) of Mauston, Darlene (Rick)
Kisner of New Bern, NC, Robert (Ruth) Pfaff of Mauston, Ralph Pfaff (Pam) of
Mauston, Barbara (Terry) Revels of Hillsboro, Sandra (Dale) Rabine of Baraboo,
Charles (Kathy) Pfaff of Osseo, and Debra (Bob) Grutt of Menomonie; many loving
Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and significant others; a sister, Mary Ann
(Bernard) Resch of Mauston; and sisters-in-law, Loretta Christian of Reedsburg
and Evelyn Monskey of Hillpoint. She was preceded in death by her Parents and a
sister, Lauretta Woelfl.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at
11:00 a.m. at St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, with Rev. Conrad
Prell officiating. Burial will be in the Lindina Evergreen Cemetery, rural
Mauston. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Tuesday
from 4 to 7 p.m.
