Obituary
Donald R. "Bubba" Barbour, 80, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
He was born September 25, 1942 to Robert and Lillian (Cervenka) Barbour in Richland Center. Donald was united in marriage to RoseMary Tracy on July 1, 1967. He served in the National Guard in the 1960’s. Donald was a long-haul trucking owner and operator for 42 years. He retired in 2005 when he was diagnosed with cancer, but continued to work until February 2020, driving dump truck and plowing snow for the Township of Woodland.
Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had many trips hunting elk in Colorado, and bass fishing in Fremont.
He is survived by his wife RoseMary, his son Mike (Carole Adams) Barbour, his daughter Bette (Dan Jones) Barbour, two grandchildren Macy Barbour and Brandon Barbour, a brother Dick (Linda) Barbour, and three sisters Carol (Rod) Preuss, Patsy (Dave) Auburt, and Judy (Dan Blaha) Muller.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Alan Tripp officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 14th at the Picha Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 15th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
