Donald D Degner

Donald Duane Degner, age 87 years, of Valton, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Wisconsin Dells Health Services in Wisconsin Dells.

He was born on November 19, 1935 at home in Woodland Township, Sauk County, the son of Robert and Agnes (Rott) Degner.

Donald married Alice (Braund) Williams on June 26, 1971 at the Valton Wesleyan Church in Valton.

Don worked beside Alice on the family farm.  Loved spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed playing cards and taking long rides with Alice, especially during the fall season.  Don loved dancing to the Monty Berger and The Country Gold Band.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Alice; parents, Robert and Agnes Degner; parents-in-law, Chester and Wilma (Erickson) Braund; brother, Melvin Degner; infant sister, Arlene; brother-in-law, Dennis Holloway; sister-in-law, Heidi (Reinhardt) Degner; niece, Debra Holloway; step son-in-law, Gary Rabine; step grandchildren, Brian Williams, Lance Williams and Billie Potter.

Survivors include his siblings, Herman Degner, Lester (Lorraine) Degner, Irene (Wayne) Morse, Mary Degner, Elsie Holloway and Wilbert (Judy) Degner; step children, Judy Rabine, Jean (Don) Mislevecheck, Joyce (Roger) Paulson and Dennis (Terri) Williams; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 13 nieces and nephews and 31 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Valton Friends Church.  Visitation will be at the Church from 12 noon to 2 p.m.  Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
