Gregory L. Geier, aka Butch, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Weber Haus in Wonewoc, Wisconsin.
He was born November 7, 1953 in Reedsburg to Lenhard and Anna (Miller) Geier. Butch lived on the family farm on Geier Road. He was previously married to Ranie Thayer and they had 3 children.
Butch was a hard worker and worked as a mechanic for over 40 years, up until he retired. You could always expect him to be outside at the farm working on some vehicle and just waiting for the next person to stop by to have a cold beer and shoot the breeze.
He loved hunting (mostly deer), fishing and working on cars. When his children were younger, he spent most of his time camping and out on the lake fishing and water skiing along with snowmobiling. He also loved to sit in his recliner and watch the Packer games.
He is survived by his children, Dustin (Jennifer) Geier, Angela (Lance) Weber and Anisti (Chris) Haffele; his grandchildren, Miles, Tatum, Brynley, Gage, Ashley, Aiden, Albi and Mati; his siblings, Dorothy Krueger, Rosie Ruetten, Janet (Paul) Turner, Janice Byington, Sherry (Jim) Gardehl; brothers-in-law Ron Snyder and Rick Field and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenhard and Anna Geier; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Judy Geier; sisters, Betty Field and Charlotte Raese; brothers-in-law, Dan Ruetten, Phillip Krueger, William Raese, Gerald Gardehl and Norman Byington; and nephews Jeff & Tom Snyder.
The family would like to thank the Weber Haus and Tomah Hospice for all of their care and their kindness they gave to Butch.
A memorial of life will be celebrated at a later date.
The Picha Funeral Home in Wonewoc is assisting with arrangements.
