Jeanice E. Hummer, age 92 years, of rural Kendall, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home.

She was born on November 21, 1929 to Earl and Bernice (Marvin) Scott at Mather, Wisconsin.

Jeanice was married to James Johnson in 1945 and raised eleven children, they later divorced.  She later married Carl Hummer in 1969 in Beloit, Wisconsin.  In addition to living in Beloit, they later moved to the Hillsboro area.  Carl preceded her in death...

Jeanice E. Hummer, age 92 years, of rural Kendall, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home.

She was born on November 21, 1929 to Earl and Bernice (Marvin) Scott at Mather, Wisconsin.

Jeanice was married to James Johnson in 1945 and raised eleven children, they later divorced.  She later married Carl Hummer in 1969 in Beloit, Wisconsin.  In addition to living in Beloit, they later moved to the Hillsboro area.  Carl preceded her in death on August 30, 2012.

Survivors include her children, Clara Schuman, Jean Johnson, Marilyn Wolf, Daniel Johnson, Judith Warren, Scott Johnson, Alice Legg and Franklin Johnson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Herrewig.

She was preceded in death by her Husbands; children, Velma Mulligan, Vicki Faber and an infant, James Johnson; brothers, Marvin, Robert, Arnold, Harold, Dale and Ronald Scott and sisters, Elaine Saylor and Diane Chase.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Jeanice will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion Hall - 108 Center Street, Wonewoc, WI.

Interment will be in the Pine Eden Cemetery in Wonewoc.
