Lowell L North

Lowell L. North, age 83 years, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Weber Haus in Wonewoc.

He was born on December 8, 1939 in Hillsboro and graduated from the Hillsboro High School.  Lowell served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1962.

He attended Marshfield college in their Physicians Assistant program. He was in one of the first classes to graduate with that degree. He was a natural healer over his long career and touched many lives. When he retired at the age of 77, he was the oldest working physicians assistant in the state of Wisconsin.

Lowell found great joy in teaching his many medical students who he made a large impact on. On May 13, 2017, he received an award as Clinical Educator of the Year from the Mayo School of Health Sciences. 

He was an avid fly fisherman, and on any given day, you could find him standing on the banks of one of his many favorite trout streams in the Hillsboro area. He passed this passion along to his children and his grandchildren. 

Lowell was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also had a large group of family and friends, who he loved dearly. Lowell will be remembered by a multitude of people.  

He is survived by his wife, Linda North; children and grandchildren, Ken North and daughter Linda, Paul North and sons, Justus and Laine, Josh North (Susan) and sons, Cody, Samuel, and Brady, Skye Millhiser (Nic) and daughters Harper, Lila, and Ruby, and Steven Krzewina-McConnell (Bree).

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Joe Norwalk; sister, Marceda and Rudy Rott; sister, Margaret and Norman Anderson and former wife, Carol Nizer-North 

There will be no services at this time.

A party in honor of Lowell will be held at Beezers - 1235 Water Avenue, Hillsboro on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 12 PM until 3 PM.
