Marguerite J. Thew

Marguerite J. Thew, age 92 years, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Milestone Senior Living in Hillsboro.

She was born on March 25, 1929 to Edwin and Cecelia (Ward) Moore in Beloit and grew to adulthood and graduated from the Hillsboro High School in 1949.

Marguerite was united in marriage to Edward F. Conway on October 19, 1949.  They farmed near Hillsboro for many years until moving into Hillsboro.  He preceded her in death on June 21, 1995.

Marguerite later married Jesse J. Thew on August 1, 1996.  They lived in Union Center for many years and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2010.

She was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro.  Along with working on the farm, Marguerite also had worked at the Hillsboro Canning Factory.  She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Stephen (Lynda) Conway and daughter, Kathleen (Jim) Portner; grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley Wilcox, Rosalie Boettcher and Janice Anderson.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her Parents; a brother, Robert and sister, Marcella Jefferies.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Father Don Bauer officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery near Hillsboro.  Friends may call at the Church on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
