Patrick Michael "Mike" Kelley

Patrick Michael “Mike” Kelley, age 79 years of Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Casa de Oaks in Reedsburg.

Mike was born on July 14, 1944 to Vincent and Linda (Bell) Kelley.  At a young age, Mike’s father remarried to Lillian (Clark) Hillyer and she was mother of this combined family.  Mike graduated from Wonewoc-Center High School in 1963.

On July 19, 1969, Mike married Jane Sebranek at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Wonewoc.

He worked at Arthur Overgaard in Elroy for 38+ years as a parts manager.  After retiring from Overgaards, he went to work for Hartje Tire selling tires.

Mike loved the outdoors, from hunting, fishing, mowing lawn, weeding garden to cutting wood.  He spent many hours at his land near the Buckhorn State Park.  He loved deer hunting there with the Bohn boys and Richie Bell.

After “officially” retiring he was able to spend more time with his granddaughters.  He always loved giving them treats and that’s what “Papas” are for.

Survivors include his wife, Jane of 54 years; son, Vince (Janice) Kelley; daughter, Kerry (Kevin) Olson; grandchildren, Avery Olson, Misty and Shelby Kelley; sister, Pat (Bob) MacLean; sister-in-law, Charlene Kelley; brother-in-law, Tom Travers and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; brothers, Bill Kelley, Bernie Hillyer, Mike Hillyer and sisters, Katie Travers, Joanne Kelley and Jan Hudzinski.

The family would like to thank the staff at Casa de Oaks memory care unit for the excellent care Mike received on his journey through Alzheimer’s disease.  In lieu of flowers, donations may made in Mike’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church – 310 Bluff Street, La Valle, WI  53941, with a time of visitation at the Church from 9 to 11 a.m.  Interment will be in the St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery in Union Center.
