Peggy Winchel Obituary

Peggy S. Winchel, 61, of rural Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away at home on Thursday, April 7, 2022 after a long health battle in the care of her family and surrounded by loved ones.

Peggy Sue Winchel was born to Harold and Patricia (Rollins) Winchel on November 24, 1960, in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. She was the fourth child and first daughter of their eight children. Peggy attended Valley Elementary School and later graduated from Hillsboro High School.

Following high school, Peggy met and married Allen Froehlich. They were married and raised four daughters; Melissa, Jasmine, Megan, Tasha and a son, Colt. Peggy and Allen would later divorce but remained lifelong friends until he preceded her in death in 2011. She spent many years primarily working at Cellox and Land’s End in Reedsburg. She spent the last 14 years sharing a life with Ronny Nevsimal with many wild adventures along the way.

Peggy enjoyed traveling with her family, playing computer games, hosting family holidays, shopping, and living the farm life. She was also a generous gift giver to anyone that knew her. She was most happy seeing the excitement on her grandchildren’s faces as she spoiled them until the end, along with all of her children, nieces, nephews, relatives, or anyone she saw fit. She was truly one of a kind and will forever be missed.

Peggy was preceded in death by her Parents; her brother, Jamie; sister-in-law, Rita Winchel; Ronny’s parents, Louis and Freda Nevsimal and an infant nephew, John. She is survived by her longtime partner, Ronny Nevsimal; her daughters, Melissa (Brian) Honer of La Valle, Jasmine (Gary) Sturdevant of Muscoda, Megan (Bernard) Shaker of Elroy, Tasha (Jacob) Melms of Reedsburg and her son, Colt Froehlich (Nicole Kaeo) of Hillsboro. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Dakota, Clayton, Cheyenne, Emma, Fisher, Tabitha, Sterling, Margaret, Makayla, Jordan, Nicholas, and Elijah. Also surviving Peggy are her siblings, Kevin (Melody) Winchel, Steven Winchel, Larry (Geneva) Winchel, Maureen (John) Miller, Casey (Emeliza) Winchel and Tony (Brenda) Winchel as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
