Sharon M (Bachman) Burch

Sharon M. Burch, age 82 years, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

She was born on March 24, 1941 to Elmer and Verna (Windedahl) Bachman in Carthage, South Dakota.

Sharon grew to adulthood in South Dakota and married Marvin Leonard on March 12, 1960 in Luverne, Minnesota and they had four children, Randy, Troy, Brad and Traci.  They later divorced in 1968.

On March 2, 1974, Sharon was united in marriage to Chancey Burch in Tomah, Wisconsin.  They lived in Lyons, Wisconsin for several years.  Chancey preceded her in death on March 13, 1980.

Sharon later lived in Baraboo and then the Hillsboro area with Bud Blaha for many years.

Sharon was a cook at family restaurants and worked at the Kwik Trip in Union Center for many years.  She loved the area and the people, making many friends.  Sharon was a life long fan of Elvis Presley.

Survivors include her children, Randy Leonard (Sandy), Brad “Digger” Leonard and Traci Cotterell; grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Dillon, Michelle, Trina and Cheyenne and three Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husbands and son, Troy Leonard.

A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held with a time of visitation on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Wonewoc.

Interment will be at a later date at the Hudson Cemetery in Lyons, Wisconsin.
